Books and books and books

Have just spent an entertaining hour updating an Amazon wishlist with a whole slew of books I will probably never buy -- at least, not if I can get my hands on them via libraries. All sorts of interesting "big picture" books, mostly - things that trace connections and piece together networks that span time or space. I love those. I've been filling up the list mostly by tracing through Amazons recommendations starting from known points like Salt: A World History and Guns, Germs, and Steel, marking anything that looked interesting enough to comb libraries for later. If anyone's got recommendations, though, I happily and eagerly accept them!
