'Tis the season for staring blankly at Amazon

Took a crack at updating my wishlist today. Still suffering from "I have no idea what I want" syndrome. Also, is it just me, or does Amazon get slower every time you use it? After a few searches I have to give up before I lose patience. I have the same problem with Facebook lately, too -- they've loaded the site(s) with so much 'cool', 'helpful' bling that doing anything "quick" is a joke. Bleh and bah humbug.

ah, I thought it was MY computer and/or connection being slower than dirt; didn't even think to blame the site with all their bells and whistles.

which reminds me, haven't looked at my 'zan wishlist in eons...

Admittedly my Toshi is getting elderly and doesn't always handle heavy sites well. But she does all right on other sites, and in any event, anyone who's done web design knows you don't design something for the latest and greatest: you design for the muddling middle, and try to make it look good on the latest and greatest while you're at it. That's just good business, especially when there are large swaths of the country where people are still on dial-up (and then there's the international considerations...)
