The icon meme goes round and round, making step 4 very accurate. This time from [ profile] be_themoon

1. Reply to this post, and I will pick six of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon squee. Whoo!

I actually have no idea who this is, though I'm betting it's probably a Bennett or a Dashwood or somone else in a BBC Austen production. The expression and quote go together so well, though, perfect for the end of a really. long. day.

I love Mulan! It's one of the best Disney movies, and I think it sorta got cheated out of recognition because its best song couldn't possibly have a radio version ("I'll Make a Man Out of You"). The one that did get radio play, "Reflection", was probably the movie's weakest number. As for the icon itself -- well, that just basically says it all, doesn't it?

I spend most of my life with a book in my hand or about my person somewhere. I mastered the art of reading while walking at a young age, as well as eating one-handed. There are actually very few things I would rather do than read -- come to think of it, I actually can't think of anything that would win over reading every time. It would depend on the book, and my mood.

Yoda gets to say and do all the fun things. No, he never gets this line, but he could!

This is Uhura from the TOS episode "Mirror, Mirror" where they get switched with their counterparts from the 'evil' universe. Uhura got some of the very best scenes in that episode, including this one where she pulls a knife on Sulu('s counterpart)! After having just flirted with come onto him!

The quote is attributed to Tom Clancy. I use the icon either when my fiction is not going well and I'd dearly love to have something 'just happen' or when reality gets particularly surreal.

Top icon: Elizabeth Bennet. And yes, I am sure she thought that about her sisters/mother many, many times.

Snorted so hard over the Yoda one ... still giggling, in fact, just thinking about it. Maybe if he'd whacked Anakin a few times, we'd never have had Darth Vader. Maybe if he'd whacked George Lucas we never would have had the prequel trilogy ...

It all started with the Ewoks. No one noticed it at the time, but it became abundantly clear with "The Ewok Adventure" that Lucas had completely lost his mind when it came to Star Wars. By the time Phantom Menace rolled out, it was too late.

I showed the Yoda icon to my husband, and he literally clutched his stomach and had to lean against the wall to keep from falling over, he was laughing so hard. This is officially our new favorite Star Wars should-have-been-but-not quote.

It is likely that the only thing that saved Lydia from Elizabeth's wrath is that it would be improper for a young woman of good breeding to club her sibling to death with the second-best silver soup tureen.

"Hill, would you please come to the parlor and be so good as to hold Lydia while I strangle her with the bodice lace she and Kitty were squabbling over? Thank you."

"Very good, miss. Will you be wanting the same for Miss Kitty, as well?"

"Yes, thank you, that will be just the ticket. And tell the cook we'll be wanting fish for dinner, please."

ahhh, I love the Mulan one! That is so perfect.

Umm, my icons aren't that cool, but I like the sound of never-ending icon squee, so...icon me?
